Corrett was founded in 2022 by Lee Ryder, Scott Pomeroy and Dennis Hardie to execute core-plus and value-add oriented investment strategies with the goal of generating attractive risk-adjusted returns to investors through US student housing investments.
Prior to the formation of Corrett, the principals created and worked together for 15 years at University Communities. There, the principals built a portfolio of student housing assets with a large public pension fund. During that time, the management team acquired, constructed, renovated and sold over $2 billion in assets, including the successful liquidation of the portfolio in 2020 and 2021.

Prior to University Communities, Mr. Ryder was CFO and Director of Acquisitions for the student housing division of AIMCO (NYSE Ticker: AIV) where he oversaw over $1 billion of student housing transactions. He also sits on the Student Housing Council of the Urban Land Institute.
Scott Pomeroy served as Vice President of Investments at University Communities, overseeing acquisition, disposition, and financing activities in addition to asset management and investor reporting functions. Prior to University Communities, Mr. Pomeroy was a commercial real estate financing underwriter at multiple private real estate capital firms including Johnson Capital.
Dennis Hardie served as the Chief Operating Officer at University Communities and subsequently Yugo (USA). As COO, Mr. Hardie oversaw property operations of the national student housing portfolio that comprised 40 assets and over 16,000 beds.
